U sklopu međunarodne akcije prikupljanja sredstava za podršku Ukrajini prikupljena je 10.1 milijarda eura, objavila je u Varšavi predsjednica Evropske komisije Ursula von der Leyen.
Kampanju pod nazivom Stand Up for Ukraine pokrenula je međunarodna organizacija Global Citizen uz podršku Evropske unije i kanadskog premijera Justina Trudeaua.
Uz svjetske čelnike koji su se u ime svojih zemalja obavezali da će prikupiti više milijardi dolara za pomoć ukrajinskim izbjeglicama, kampanji su se pridružili i umjetnici poput Eltona Johna, Alanis Morrissette, Billie Eilish, Annie Lennox i Chrisa Rocka.
“Svijet je u sklopu kampanje na kraju prikupio 9.1 milijardu eura, a usto je Komisija, zajedno s EBRD-om (Europska banka za obnovu i razvoj), dodala još milijardu za sve raseljene osobe u Ukrajini. Fantastično je to, dakle 10.1 milijarda eura”, rekla je Von der Leyen.
Dodala je da će se prikupljenoj svoti dodati i druga sredstva.
