Najmanje 50 ljudi je poginulo nakon što je razoran tornado pogodio američku saveznu državu Kentucky, rekao je guverner te države Andy Beshear.
“Vjerovatno ćemo imati i više od 50 mrtvih”, rekao je Beshear za lokalni medij WLKY.
Većina razaranja zabilježena je u okrugu Graves, u kojem se nalazi i grad Mayfield, rekao je guverner.
Prema službenim podacima, u Mayfieldu živi oko 10.000 ljudi.
CNN javlja da je oluja koja je poharala ukupno pet američkih saveznih država od petka navečer stvorila najmanje 24 tornada izazivajući ogromne štete te da ima poginulih i u drugim saveznim državama.
