Evropska unija će donirati 10 miliona eura Oružanim snagama BiH

Evropska unija će pomoći u jačanju kapaciteta Oružanih snaga Bosne i Hercegovine, potvrdila je za naš portal Bisera Turković, zamjenica predsjedavajućeg Vijeća ministara i ministrica vanjskih poslova BiH.
Turković se nalazi u Briselu gdje će imati susrete sa visokim zvaničnicima EU, među kojima su Oliver Varhelji, komesar za proširenje, te ministri vanjskih poslova država članica EU, predstavnici Evropskog parlamenta te drugi utjecajni zvaničnici.
“Riječ je o izuzetno važnoj odluci koja će osnažiti kapacitet i sposobnosti naših Oružanih snaga, a realizirat će se kroz novi instrument EU ‘The European Peace Facility”, navela je Turković.
Cilj instrumenta je povećavanje sposobnosti EU da spriječi konflikte, sačuva mir i ojača međunarodnu stabilnost i sigurnost, a ukupni budžet ovog instrumenta IZNOSI pet milijardi eura za 2021-2027.
Kako saznajemo, EU je donijela odluku da u prvoj fazi donira 10 miliona eura OS BiH, a u cilju jačanja njenih deminerskih kapaciteta što će svakako pomoći OS BiH da budu još efikasnije u deminiranju kontaminiranih površina te tako spašavanju ljudskih života, ali i stvaranju mogućnosti za povratak ljudi i eventualno investiranje u privredu.
Turković će narednih dana učestvovati u nekoliko važnih evropskih foruma gdje će govoriti, između ostalog i o situaciju u BiH.
“Očekujem da će i ministri vanjskih poslova EU donijeti i stavove o posljednjim dešavanjima u našoj zemlji i na cijelom Zapadnom Balkanu. Od suštinske je važnosti da ovu krizu pretvorimo u šansu da u najkraćem roku ispunimo preostale uvjete za kandidatski status. To bi vjerujem bio najbolji odgovor retrogradnim politikama”, istakla je ministrica Turković.
