Vijeće bosanske zajednice Novog Južnog Velsa je zajednička platforma bosansko-hercegovačkih asocijacija i klubova registrovanih u ovoj državi na istočnoj obali Australije. Jedan od prioriteta Vijeća je da okuplja organizacije i pojedince koji rade na razvoju i unaprjeđenju rada bosanske zajednice kao i poboljšanju životnih uslova za njene građane.
Prema ranijim podacima Ambasade BiH u Kanberi, u Australiji živi 70-75 hiljada osoba koje su rođene u BiH, uključujući 20-ak hiljada onih koji su rođeni u Australiji. Najveći broj Bosanaca i Hercegovaca žive u lokalitetima gradova Melburn i Sidnej dok ostatak obuhvata Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Wollongong i Gold Coast.
Viješe bosanske zajednice Novoh Južnog Velsa je nevladina i neprofitna organizacija koja svojim radom prvenstveno pomaže našim građanima u Novom Južnom Velsu u rješavanju njihovih potreba i predstavljanju kod vladinih i nevladinih organizacija. Vrlo važna komponenta u radu Vijeća je također, povezivanje naših građana sa domovinom Bosnom i Hercegovinom, kroz informativne i kulturne oblike saradnje, te promociju naših historijskih vrijednosti unutar Australije.
Naš jezik i ostala kultura blaga su našeg društvenog kapitala koji u australskom multikulturnom društvu, dolaskom novih generacija, bilježi stalni rast.
